Where exactly do I find this?

Paid with PayPal? Open the receipt email from service@paypal.com (titled “You sent a payment” or similar). Near the payment details is Transaction ID: seventeen letters and numbers, like 7AB12345CD678901E. You can also open the payment under Activity at paypal.com. Spaces or dashes are fine; I tidy them up.

Purchased on Etsy? Open your Etsy purchase confirmation email and look for Order #: a number made only of digits, like 3721584960.
